The structural story has shifted in recent years. The Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) — Thailand's flagship investment zone connecting Pattaya, Rayong and Chonburi — has begun to reshape the foreign-resident base toward longer-term professionals working in the corridor's industrial expansion.
