This Cookie Policy applies to latitude.asia (the “Site”), published by MaproGlobal OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia (registry code 16665150, VAT EE102585850, Tornimäe tn 3/5/7, 10145 Tallinn). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, to understand how our editorial content performs, and to support our marketing efforts. We ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie. Essential cookies do not require consent because the Site cannot function without them.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are used by the website itself (first-party) or by third parties whose services are embedded on the website (third-party). Some cookies persist between sessions; others expire when you close your browser.

Similar technologies include localStorage, pixels, web beacons and SDKs. For simplicity we refer to all of these as “cookies” throughout this policy.

Latitude groups cookies into three categories. You can accept all, reject all, or choose category by category in our cookie settings.

3.1 Essential cookies

Required for the Site to function. They cannot be switched off. They include:

• Our own consent record (latitude-consent-v1), stored in your browser's localStorage to remember your cookie choices.
• Hosting and security cookies set by our infrastructure provider (Vercel) for load balancing, request routing and protection against abuse.

3.2 Analytics cookies

Help us understand which editorial guides perform, where readers come from, and how the Site is used. Loaded only with your consent.

• Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited). Cookies set: _ga, _ga_*. Retention: up to 2 years. Data is sent to Google. See Google's privacy notice.

3.3 Marketing cookies

Help us measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and reach interested readers on third-party platforms. Loaded only with your consent.

• Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited). Cookies set: _fbp, _fbc. Used to measure conversions from Meta advertising and to build custom audiences on Facebook and Instagram. See Meta's privacy notice.

Latitude does not use cookies for behavioural advertising outside Google Analytics and Meta Pixel as listed above. If this changes, we will update this policy and re-request consent.

When you subscribe to the Latitude newsletter, we use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS) to deliver email. Brevo may use tracking pixels in emails we send to measure opens and clicks. This tracking happens within the email itself and not via cookies on the Site. You can disable email tracking in most modern email clients, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.

When you first visit the Site, our cookie banner asks for your preferences. You can:

• Accept all cookies
• Reject all non-essential cookies
• Customise per category

You can change your decision at any time by opening Cookie settings. You can also delete cookies in your browser's settings.

We will re-ask for your consent at least every twelve months.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) or comparable laws. These typically include the right to access, correct or delete your personal data and to withdraw consent.
